    Mountain Day

    Mount Monadnock
On Monday, September 30, the entire school community will climb Mount Monadnock in New Hampshire for the school's Mountain Day.

This all-school outing is part of the school's curriculum and gives children a chance to make friends, enjoy an autumn day in the woods, and take pride in their efforts. Teachers supervise the hike to ensure safety.

For the climb, students need layers of clothing, a water bottle, sneakers or hiking boots, and a small backpack to carry extra clothes. Everyone should be back on campus by 5:00 p.m. and day students can be picked up at that time.

If the weather is poor, regular classes will meet. The decision to cancel Mountain Day will be made by 6:30 a.m. on the day of the hike and posted immediately on the school's website. The school will also notify day parents via e-mail. If Mountain Day is canceled, students can wear Mountain Day clothing to class.
