Varsity Baseball v. Chaote

Eaglebrook Varsity baseball continued their hot start to the season with a shutout win over Choate Rosemary Hall at home on Wednesday. Ryan McHugh was excellent on the hill in his first start of the season, striking out 10 batters and allowing only one hit in six frames.
After a Ryan McHugh RBI single in the first inning gave Eaglebrook a quick 1-0 lead, the game was tight until the bottom of the fourth, when Eaglebrook's bats started to come alive. Eaglebrook scored 3, 3, and 4 runs, in our final three innings at the plate, respectively. Nearly the entire team up and down the lineup played a part in the offense, and we were proud of the players for not letting up or showing signs of complacency at any point. Kiernan Keller finished the game on the mound, hitting the leadoff man but then working quickly to retire the next three with two K's and a come-backer to close the game.
After the upcoming weekend off, we look forward to facing Cushing on Wednesday and Deerfield Academy on Saturday. Go Eaglebrook!
