Varsity Baseball v. Wilbraham & Monson

Eaglebrook Varsity baseball got off to a hot start on Saturday afternoon with a big win against Wilbraham & Monson, in Wilbraham, MA. Ryan McHugh, Kiernan Keller, and James Clavel each pitched two efficient innings, combining for 14 strike-outs and the team's first no-hitter in recent memory. On offense, the team stormed out of the gate with a barrage of hits, scoring 5 runs in each of the first two frames, and four more in the third. In total the team had 18 hits and 10 walks, with 10 different players recording a hit, and five players with multiple hits (Ryan McHugh, Kiernan Keller, James Clavel, Carson Cleage, and Landon Whayne). It was a truly complete game performance, and we were very proud of the team for their readiness to play at a high level from start to finish this early in the season. On top it all, the team exuded enthusiasm and team spirit, as well as excellent sportsmanship throughout a lopsided contest. Our next game is away at Avon Old Farms on Saturday, April 13, at 2:30 PM.
