Thirds Basketball v. Christian Redemption

Eaglebrook braved snowy conditions to hit the road Monday and face Redemption Christian Academy at home in Northfield. It was a back-n-forth affair that ended in a tough 25-28 loss.

The match featured great play up and down the bench. William Kim, Jeffrey Moon, Paul de Bruyn Kops, and Chris Markowski provided good on-the-ball pressure in the Thirds' patented “Triangle Plus Two” defense, which kept Redemption scoreless for long stretches.

Nate Roachford applied good offensive pressure, driving to the basket and finding easy dishes for points to the Brookie Big Leo Shi. Meredith Bedell contributed 4 points and fought for the 50/50 balls along with defensive pests Frank Zhang and Jules de Beauport.

Daniel Coffy, the resident three-point specialist, rattled off 7 points in an explosive second quarter. And Liam Shea and Kodai Goodrow contributed smart basketball play to maximize offensive opportunities and limit the opposing team’s looks.

A pair of standout players on the Redemption squad kept the Brookies from running away with this one. But it was a close, well-fought matchup with a lot of touches for the entire team. Eaglebrook looks forward to its final game, hosting Bement on Thursday.
