Wrestling v. Hillside
Hillside is always a difficult opponent for the Eagles and to make it more difficult they had to rush across the State to face them in their house. The Eagles had to make this match shorter in length, only eleven matches, in order to get back to the hill for the Lunar New Year celebration dinner. In the end, the Eagles wrestled extremely tough, only giving up one pin on the day, and worked to earn four solid wins themselves. Hillside was able to win seven matches, but overall the wrestling meet was decided by only nine points.
The Eagles showed how far they had come in just a month since they wrestled Hillside last. In the previous match, the Eagles lost by over thirty points, many of the losses were to pins. One trait was evident though in this match, with several players returning from injuries, we were not in our best shape. Over the next two weeks, the Eagles will work hard to increase their fitness and remain healthy in preparations for the Fessenden Tournament, our last event for the 2018-2019 season.
