Wrestling at Eagle Hill

It was a beautiful day as the Eagles loaded up the bus and set out for Eagle Hill. What was supposed to be a meet with of five different teams, ended up being three, Eaglebrook, Eagle Hill, and our friendly rivals Cardigan Mountain. The Eagles weren’t bothered by the lack of teams and the majority of the team was able to get two matches in before the meet was done.

The Eagles had twenty matches, eleven matches against Eagle Hill and nine against Cardigan. In the end, the Eagles wrestled tough in all of their matches and only surrendered six loses on the day. Of the fourteen wins, the Eagles were able to pin their opponent nine times. It was a great day or wrestling for the Eagles.

The ride home was the complete opposite than the beautiful sunshine they experience driving to Eagle Hill. The Eagles forged through blizzard-like conditions to get back home safely and enjoy a nice meal together in the Gibbs Dining Hall. The Eagles look towards their last home meet of the season, this Friday against Keene Middle School, and second to last match of the year. After that, it’s tournament time, where the Eagles will wrestle home in the Eaglebrook Tournament and then travel to Fessenden to finish the season. Go Eagles!
