A junior boarding and day school for boys in grades six, seven, eight, and nine

JV 1 Basketball v. Cardigan Mountain School

On Saturday Cardigan Mountain School traveled to Eeaglebrook to take on the JV Basketball team in a dog fight of game. It was high intensity from the start as the Cougars took an early lead, while the Brookies were struggling to find their rhythm. After 5 minutes had past Eeaglebrook found themselves down by ten points. This score changed drastically when Brandon Royal entered the game, taking over on the offensive side of the ball, scoring off of two offensive rebounds, and a three-pointer that gave the Brookies the boost they needed. From that point on both teams went on runs causing countless lead changes. As the game continued, EBS began dominating the boards as Dylan Ngwa took over down low with several key rebounds. As they entered the second half, the Brookies were energized and ready to finish the game in style. It was at this point when Owen Zinn-Keane, the team's captain, took control of the game and found his stride. Scoring back to back three pointers and control the offense, Owen displayed outstanding leadership and poise in a very tight game. In the end, the Cougars couldn't keep up with the fitness level and determination that the Brookies displayed throughout the game, and Eaglebrook left the court winning by three in an outstanding showing of grit, passion, and teamwork.
