Country Fair 2019

You are invited to Eaglebrook's Annual Country Fair, held this year on October 18-22. The fair coincides with the first Parents’ Weekend of the 2019-2020 school year and will be attended by students, alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends. One highlight of the weekend are the concession stands run by the students Saturday morning on Infirmary Field. Please see below for the Country Fair Schedule.

    5 - 6 p.m. Placement meeting with Sixth Form students and parents in the assembly area

    6 - 7 p.m.
     Optional buffet dinner in Gibbs Dining Hall. Students may leave campus for dinner but should return by 8:00 p.m. Classroom dress

    6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Dormitory faculty available in dorms for informal conferences with parents

    7:15 p.m. An Evening of the Arts including the chorus, piano soloists, and a performance of the fall play "How to Win at Life" in the Bartlett Assembly Area.

    Parents' Committee Symposia by Form. This year's topic is "A Healthy Place to Learn"
    • Third Form: with Shappy LaPointe, Dean of School Life. Chorus Room, Evans 226
    • Fourth Form: with Christa Lakey, Director of Technology Integration & Innovation. Copley Library, Learning Center
    • Fifth Form: Nick Leyden, Director of Studies Bartlett Assembly Area, Learning Center
    • Sixth Form: with Paul Cyr-Mutty, Dean of Faculty. Band Room, Evans 127
    10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Country Fair Concessions, Infirmary Field. Games, rides, food booths, and other special concessions and events run by Eaglebrook students and faculty to benefit the Scholarship Fund, Eaglebrook programs, and charities chosen by the students

    10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. School Store open, lower level of Gibbs Dining Hall

    10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Book Fair, Copley Library

    12:00 p.m. Buffet Luncheon for all students and parents. Performances by the string orchestra and jazz band.

    12:30 p.m. Parents' Association Meeting following lunch with student speakers, Gibbs Dining Hall All parents are urged to attend.

    2:00 p.m. Athletic events as per fall Sports Schedule, www.eaglebrook.org/AthleticSchedule.

    3:00 - 6:00 p.m. Teacher conferences. Your child will have already signed you up for conferences with his teachers.

    6:00 p.m. Optional buffet dinner, Gibbs Dining Hall, Informal Dress

    Students may check out for supper and/or an overnight with their parents after their last obligation on Saturday. They must return to campus by Tuesday, October 22 at 8 p.m. Sixth Form students must return by Thursday, October 24. There will be no classes on Monday, October 21 and Tuesday, October 22.

  • Sunday, October 20

    Faculty are available for conferences on Sunday and Monday. Please make appointments directly with teachers if needed.
  • Monday, October 21

    This is a free day for students remaining on campus. No classes will be held. Day students do not have to come to school. Sixth Form students may return back to campus by Thursday, October 24.
  • Tuesday, October 22

    This is a free day for those boarding students remaining on campus. No classes will be held. Day students do not have to come to school. Third, Fourth, and Fifth Form boarding students may stay out with their parents until 8 p.m., at which time they must check in with their Dorm Heads. Sixth Form students may return back to campus by Thursday, October 24.
