Zack Phillips '08 and the NHL Draft

Former Eaglebrook School Varsity Ice Hockey Assistant Captain Zack Phillips ’08 is currently projected to be a 1st Round NHL Draft pick this year. He is ranked #12 overall among North American Skaters in the Midterm Ranking for the 2011 National Hockey League Entry Draft. Zack is in his second season playing  for the Saint John Sea Dogs in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).

"Zack is a very talented two-way ice hockey player who has a bright future ahead of him. He sees the ice extremely well and is a creative playmaker and pure goal scorer. Zack was a strong student-athlete at Eaglebrook and played a large role in the success of our teams during his two years here. He served as one of our captains during his Sixth Form year and displayed strong leadership both on and off the ice. I am very proud of him and look forward to seeing another one of my former Eaglebrook School players drafted by the National Hockey League" says Jeff Quebec, the Eaglebrook School Director of Ice Hockey.

The NHL draft will be held on June 24th-25th at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.
